Postural Alignment Workshops
A body that is healthy, functional and pain-free comes from proper postural alignment, joint position and function.The Egoscue Method is a Postural Alignment program that involves a series of individually tailored exercises and gentle stretches. Egoscue addresses the entire body. It is a process designed to help you REDISCOVER, RESTORE and RETURN your body to its original pain-free Blueprint Design.
To accomplish this, you must consistently implement new stimulus (movement and action) to your body on a daily basis to change your muscle memory. These simple yet profound corrective exercises address the underlying root cause of your pain rather than merely treating your symptoms. The body is in alignment when all load bearing joints (ankles, knees, hips and shoulders) line up horizontally and vertically in a 90 degree angle.
Antje Waxman is a certified Postural Alignment Specialist, PAS, certified by the Egoscue University.She is an affiliate of ePete Postural Solutions and also a recommended affiliate of the Egoscue University (www.egoscue.com). Antje offers private sessions, workshops and classes in her own Studio Re-Align, at ACAC in Charlottesville and Revolution Health Center in Scottsville, VA. Each workshop includes:
Posture screening including pictures of your posture will be taken and you will learn about aligning with your Blueprint Anatomical Design.
Corrective Exercises and gentle stretches that reposition, strengthen and stretch the body and a general exercise menu to take home.
Information about the tremendously effective Egoscue Method. You will learn how to: reduce chronic pain and tension; boost your energy; and improve your posture
and athletic performance.
